This episode is with Lisa Whitenight. She is a mental health, counselor and we, cover a very controversial and frequently used word in society today,. Oh man oh man !!!!! Did I hit this person with some really really difficult questions !!! BUT there’s a reason I did that with this interview - it’s because this is the information that we all wanna know as someone in recovery just starting out, as a family member or friend of someone in recovery and it’s the inside information that some of us might not know, but I’m grateful to be able to get this information out to you and I know this is a reputable source that will only tell you the truth. we cover things like religion and recovery and if it’s a requirement, we talk about other options, we talk about the pros and cons of online meetings, we cover the topic of sponsors, we talk about bringing someone to a meeting that’s not in recovery with you. We ask about the 13th step - we cover what is a pink cloud??? what if I relapse and I show up drunk or high to a meeting ??do you think 30 days in a facility is enough?? and these questions just go on and on!!!!we talk about social media, pros and cons for someone in recovery and give advice to the stranger on the street That’s still sick and suffering. Rabbit leaves us with one positive task to accomplish today and lets us know how we can get in touch with him, and then we wrap it up with a game of “random insight to Rabbit”and we learn information about this viral social media sensation that most on social media dont know. This is a fantastic episode you’re not gonna want to miss it. To get in touch with Rabbit, you can go to his social media; @_twisted_rabbit_
Today’s guest is Maryann McQuilllan and she’s here to talk to us about acupuncture and the effects on mental health wellness. I get the opportunity to break down each segment in this interview and we get to recap because there’s so much information that comes with this interview that it’s nice to have the recap in between, I get to talk to her about the reason why acupuncture could be something we should all add to our toolbelt as a form of preventative maintenance as opposed to a last resort.Maryann is able to sit with us and debunk some of the common concerns about acupuncture along with some of the myths and the facts. we put this expert to the test she’s gonna give us some insight into what acupuncture can be used for and she’s going to give us some insight as to how that all intertwines with mental physical and emotional health. This episode is something you do not want to miss. In fact I bet you’re gonna listen to it at least twice if you want to get in touch with Maryann from this episode, you can go to; www.thecomplementarywellnesscenter.com. call 845-673-5328 or email info@thecomplementarywellnesscenter.com

This episode is fan freaking tastic. Let me start off by saying I thought I knew what we were talking about but it turns out I did not!! In this episode We talk to Sarah Jean White. This is her second time on SeansDream In Real Life and she came with an entire bag of microphones to drop on this episode. There are sooo many A-ha moments for me in this conversation that I have already listened to twice and now I’m listening to for a third time to take some notes. If you’re smart you’ll pause it get a pad and pen and get ready to take some notes now. We’re about to talk about restorative rest, and we do a flip of the coin to contradictory actions of healthy ways to release rage, stress and anger. We explore rage rooms, scream clubs, and virtual reality bar fights, and then I sideswipe Sarah with an unexpected game of “would you rather?” that escalates very quickly, gets silly and then very serious about eating salad with two long beaver teeth, like a carefree squirrel. Alls I can say is enjoy the rollercoaster ride here!
In this episode, we have the opportunity to talk with Janell Santana from JS Selfcare. The topic is mental health in the workplace. We talk about helpful ways to “leave it at the door “ and not bring stress home with you after work and why it’s so important. we give you advice on how to use your benefits, and if you don’t have benefits from your job ways that you can work around that. please enjoy this episode and don’t forget to reach out if you have any questions to info@seansdream.org.
